Agentic AI represents a new level of intelligence: systems that don’t just respond, but take autonomous action – with clear intent, in context and with consistency. This is precisely what makes the Companion for First the ideal solution for data-driven day-to-day operations in asset administration. Where many individual steps are still required today, the Companion takes over complete analytical workflows: it understands the task, independently identifies the relevant data in First Cloud, filters, calculates and combines the required information – and delivers the result in the appropriate format.

Autonomous orchestration instead of manual process chains

The Companion intelligently selects and controls the required tools, executing each step in the optimal order with efficiency and precision. It’s not a tool that needs to be operated, but an intelligent actor that executes tasks in a structured way and delivers well-founded decision-making support. In doing so, it remains scalable and forward-compatible – becoming a key component of future-ready operational processes in asset administration.

Current use case: Analyses & visualisations

With the Companion for First, accessing data-driven analyses from First Cloud is as simple as having a conversation.

  • Based on a natural language request, the Companion generates exactly the analysis you need – quickly, precisely and in a clear structure.
  • It independently identifies what matters: filtering relevant data from your First Cloud data pool, combining it intelligently and determining which tools to apply – and in what order.
  • The result: a tailored decision-making basis – presented as a list, a text or a graphic.

This first functionality is scheduled for release on 1 January 2026 – a milestone for digital asset administration.

Looking ahead: continuously growing value

What begins with analyses will gradually evolve into comprehensive day-to-day support:

  • In future, the Companion will be able to integrate external information sources – such as publications from BaFin.
  • AI agents will carry out defined, recurring analyses automatically, generate reports and texts, and send notifications.
  • An integrated knowledge assistant is also planned – explaining system functions, supporting users in daily operations and customisation, and helping to reduce training time and associated costs.

Who can use the Companion for First?

The Companion for First is an AI-powered application that supports asset administration within our [First Cloud] solution. With First Cloud, our clients manage the full scope of their asset operations – including portfolio administration, accounting, Solvency II, regulatory reporting, risk management and ESG.

First Cloud can be operated on premises or hosted in the [Fact Cloud], our high-performance IT infrastructure for the secure cloud-based deployment of all Fact solutions. The Companion for First is only available when using First Cloud within the Fact Cloud environment.
