Agentic AI stands for a new quality of artificial intelligence: systems that not only react, but also act independently – in a targeted, contextualized and reliable manner. It is precisely this principle that makes the Companion for First the ideal solution for data-driven day-to-day investment management. Where many individual steps are still necessary today, the Companion takes over entire analysis chains, for example: it understands the order, independently identifies the relevant data in First Cloud, filters, calculates and combines the necessary information – and provides the result in the appropriate form.

Independent control instead of a manual process chain

To do this, it independently orchestrates the necessary tools, intelligently selects their sequence and uses them efficiently step by step. The companion is therefore not a tool that needs to be operated, but an intelligent actor that implements tasks in a structured manner and provides a sound basis for decision-making. This is Agentic AI – and the next step in digital investment management.

Our modular development approach

For innovation to work, it needs structure. The Companion is therefore created in a modular development process with a clear focus: technical, practical and future-oriented. The Agentic AI solution grows with the requirements of investment management, can react to new regulatory frameworks and continuously open up new areas of application. In this way, it not only remains connectable, but also becomes a central component of future-proof work processes in the investment context.

Concrete use cases as the basis for the roadmap

Practical applications form the core of the development – they are geared towards the day-to-day work of specialist users and focus specifically on where Agentic AI creates tangible added value.

The current use case: analyses & visualizations

With the Companion for First, access to data-driven analyses from First Cloud is as easy as a conversation.

  • From the order in natural language, the Companion creates exactly the analysis that is needed – quickly, precisely and clearly structured.
  • The Companion independently recognizes what is important: it filters relevant data from your First Cloud data pool, combines it intelligently and decides how and in what order to use tools.
  • The result: your customized basis for decision-making – as a list, text or graphic.

We will make this first functionality available as planned on 01.01.2026 – a milestone for digital investment management.

The perspective: continuously growing benefits

What begins with analyses develops step by step into comprehensive support in everyday working life:

  • In future, Companion will also be able to connect and incorporate external sources of information, such as BaFin publications
  • AI agents automatically carry out defined, regularly recurring analyses, create reports, generate texts and send notifications.
  • In addition, an integrated knowledge assistant is planned that explains system functions, provides support during use and customizing and thus reduces training costs.

Who can use the Companion for First?

Companion for First is an AI application that supports investment management in our First Cloud solution. With First Cloud, our customers control the complete management of their investments – portfolio management, accounting, Solvency II, reporting, risk controlling and ESG.

First Cloud can be operated on premises or in the Fact Cloud, our high-performance IT infrastructure for the secure cloud operation of all Fact solutions. Companion for First can only be used in the Fact Cloud.
